At a glance overview

4.3

GMGN is the most complete multi-chain meme terminal available right now. Smart money tracking, wallet analytics and AFK automation are genuinely best in class, and the same wallet works across web, Telegram, extension and mobile. The flat 1% fee and dense interface are the trade-offs you accept for that coverage.

Pros

  • Multi-chain coverage: Solana, BSC, Base, Ethereum, Tron, Monad and more from one account
  • Deepest smart money and KOL wallet tracking of any terminal
  • Copy trading that mirrors both buys and sells with your own sizing and limits
  • AFK automation keeps auto buy, limit buy and trailing take profit running while you sleep
  • Automatic security scan on every token: honeypot, mint authority, liquidity, dev and insider holdings
  • Same wallet across web terminal, Telegram bot, Chrome extension and Android app
  • No subscription, pay only when you trade
  • Anti-MEV routing to avoid sandwich bots

Cons

  • Flat 1% fee is no longer the cheapest in the category
  • In-app wallet is a hot wallet by design
  • Constant phishing target, fake domains and fake bots are everywhere
  • Interface is extremely dense for a first-time user
  • Default priority and tip fees are higher than some rivals
  • Snipe speed is good but not the fastest available
Best for: Multi-chain meme traders who want smart money tracking and automation in one terminal

GMGN Review: The Terminal That Follows Money Across Chains

Most trading terminals ask you to pick a chain and stay there. That worked when Solana was the only place memecoins mattered. It stopped working the moment volume started rotating between Solana, BSC, Base and whatever launched last month.

GMGN built the opposite thing. One terminal, one wallet, and a data layer that follows the same wallets wherever they go. It is the tool most on-chain traders end up with when they get tired of running four different bots and reconciling four different balances.

This review covers what GMGN actually does well, where the 1% fee starts to hurt, and who should be using something else.

What is GMGN?

GMGN is a non-custodial trading terminal for on-chain tokens, built around memecoins but useful for anything with a liquidity pool. It bundles four things that usually live in separate products:

  • Discovery: new pairs, trending tokens and hot searches across configurable time windows
  • Intelligence: smart money and KOL wallet tracking, PnL analytics, holder breakdowns
  • Execution: market, limit, auto buy, migrated snipe, trailing take profit and stop loss
  • Safety: an automatic contract scan on every token before you touch it

Platform type: Non-custodial multi-chain terminal Chains: Solana, BSC, Base, Ethereum, Tron, Monad and others Trade fee: 1% flat, 0.9% through a referral link Interfaces: Web terminal, Telegram bots, Chrome extension, Android app

The important structural detail is that all four interfaces connect to the same trading wallet. You can scan on desktop, fire the order from Telegram on the train, and see the position in the same portfolio.

The Terminal Layout

The web terminal is dense. That is a feature for people who trade all day and a wall for everyone else.

The top navigation is the spine: Trenches, Trending, CopyTrade, Monitor, Track, Portfolio and Rewards. Underneath, a dockable bottom bar gives you Wallet Tracker, Social Tracker, Holding, Watchlist, Rank, PnL, Signal and Callout as panels you can pull up without leaving the chart.

Trenches is the live launch feed. Tokens stream in as they deploy, with bonding progress, market cap, volume and holder count updating in real time. The filters are the part worth learning: launchpad, social presence, migration progress, dev holdings, sniper and insider ratios, top 10 concentration, liquidity floor, token age. Set them once and the noise drops by 90%.

Trending and the hot searches view work on time windows from one minute to 24 hours. A token ranking top on the 1m window and nowhere on the 24h window is a very different trade from one that has held the 6h list all day. Sorting by the right window is most of the skill here.

Each token page carries market cap, all-time-high market cap, liquidity, volume, transaction count and holder count side by side, plus the chart and the security panel.

Smart Money Tracking

This is the reason most people stay on GMGN.

The platform maintains labelled wallet categories and updates them live: whales, KOLs, snipers, bundlers, fresh wallets, developer wallets. On any token page you can immediately see which of those categories is buying and which is selling. A token with three tracked smart money wallets accumulating reads very differently from one where the buyers are all fresh wallets funded ten minutes ago.

The wallet tracker itself scales well. You can follow a large list of wallets and get alerts pushed to Telegram the moment any of them moves. Reported limits run into the hundreds of wallets, which is far more than most traders will ever curate.

The per-wallet analytics are the other half. Open any address and you get realized and unrealized PnL, win rate, average hold time, distribution of wins against losses, and the full token-by-token history. That last one matters more than the headline PnL. A wallet at plus 400% off a single lucky trade is not the same as one grinding a 60% win rate over 300 trades, and the distribution view is what separates them.

Copy Trading

Once you have found a wallet worth following, copy trading turns it into an automated strategy.

GMGN mirrors both the buys and the sells, which is the part cheaper tools get wrong. You set your own parameters rather than inheriting theirs:

  • Fixed amount per copy or a percentage of their position size
  • Maximum exposure per token
  • Slippage tolerance and priority fee
  • Take profit and stop loss overrides
  • Filters to skip tokens that fail the security scan

You can run several wallets in parallel, which is the sensible approach. Wallets go cold. A basket of three or four with different styles, one fast scalper, one swing holder, one launch sniper, smooths out the gaps far better than betting everything on the current leaderboard winner.

The honest caveat: copy trading has latency. You are always behind the wallet you are following by the time it takes to detect the transaction, build yours and land it. On a token moving 40% in a minute, that gap is real, and some users have complained about it. Copy trading works best on wallets that hold for hours or days, not on wallets that scalp the first 30 seconds of a launch.

AFK Automation and Order Types

The automation suite is what GMGN calls AFK mode, and it is genuinely the strongest part of the product.

Order types available:

  • Market buy and sell with configurable slippage
  • Limit buy at a target market cap or price
  • Auto buy that fires the moment a rule set matches
  • Migrated snipe that buys the instant a token graduates from its launchpad
  • Take profit and stop loss, including trailing versions
  • Auto sell ladders across multiple targets

The point of all of it is that your rules keep running when you are asleep. Set a trailing take profit at 25% below the high after 2x and the position closes itself if the chart rolls over at 3am. Set a migrated snipe with a liquidity floor and a dev holdings cap and you catch graduations without watching the feed.

This is the difference between a terminal and a bot, and GMGN is comfortably on the bot side of the line.

Security Scanning

Every token gets an automatic scan, and the results sit right next to the buy button rather than three clicks away.

What it checks:

  • Honeypot behaviour, can you actually sell
  • Mint authority and freeze authority status
  • Liquidity burned or locked
  • Contract ownership renounced
  • Developer wallet holdings and whether the dev has sold
  • Sniper and bundle buy ratios at launch
  • Top 10 holder concentration
  • Insider ratio

None of this makes a token good. A perfectly clean contract can still go to zero because nobody buys it. What the scan does is remove the category of loss that is purely avoidable, and over a few hundred trades that is a meaningful amount of money.

Anti-MEV and Fees

Anti-MEV mode routes your transaction so sandwich bots cannot front-run it. It requires a minimum priority fee, around 0.002 SOL on Solana, and it is worth every bit of that on any trade of size. Without it, a large market buy into thin liquidity is free money for someone else.

Trading fee: 1% flat on buys and sells. No subscription, no tiers, no monthly minimum. Trading through a referral link drops it to 0.9%.

Network costs are separate: gas, priority fee and tip fee, all depending on the chain and how busy it is. GMGN’s defaults sit around 0.002 to 0.005 SOL, rising to 0.006 and above for automated orders that need to win a race. That is higher than some competitors default to, and on high-frequency strategies it adds up. You can lower it manually, at the cost of more failed transactions.

At 1%, GMGN is no longer the cheap option. A few years ago 1% was the standard across every bot in the category. It is not any more, and the platforms undercutting it have caught up on features. GMGN’s argument is the data layer and the chain coverage, not the price.

Telegram, Extension and Mobile

Telegram bots are chain-specific and share your terminal wallet. In practice most traders use the web for research and Telegram for execution, because tapping a button in a chat is faster than switching tabs. Alerts from your wallet tracker land in the same chat, so you can go from notification to filled order in two taps.

The Chrome extension overlays GMGN data on other sites. Hover a contract address on X and you get market cap, liquidity, holder count and the security scan without leaving the timeline. It is a small feature that saves an enormous number of tab switches.

The Android app is on Google Play. iOS traders get the mobile web version, which is fine but not native.

One warning that belongs here more than anywhere else: fake GMGN Telegram bots are everywhere. So are fake domains. A phishing wave in late 2025 took roughly $700,000 from around 107 people using counterfeit GMGN sites. The platform itself was not breached, users approved malicious transactions on lookalike pages. Only ever reach GMGN through gmgn.ai, and only ever add a bot linked from the official site.

Callout, Rank and Rewards

GMGN has a social layer that most reviews skip.

Callout turns one of your open positions into a public call, tied to your actual on-chain entry. You cannot fake it after the fact, the position is either there or it is not.

Rank and TopCallers are the leaderboards built on top of that. They rank traders by verified performance, and they double as a discovery tool. A caller with a consistent record is a candidate for your wallet tracker.

Rewards covers the referral and points side. You earn from traders you bring in, and referred users get the 0.9% rate.

What Could Be Better

The fee. 1% was the market rate. It is now the high end of the market rate, and GMGN has not moved.

The hot wallet. Instant signing means the key lives somewhere the platform can reach. That is the trade-off for speed, and it is fine as long as you treat the GMGN wallet as a trading float and nothing more. It is not where your long-term bags live.

The learning curve. The first hour on the terminal is genuinely overwhelming. Everything is on screen at once. Give it a couple of days of paper trading before you size up.

Snipe speed. GMGN is fast. It is not the fastest. If your entire strategy is winning block-one races against dedicated snipers, there are tools built purely for that.

Default priority fees. Higher than they need to be for normal trades. Adjust them down manually once you understand your chain’s conditions.

Getting Started

  1. Open gmgn.ai through the official domain, connect a wallet or create the in-app one
  2. Fund a dedicated trading wallet, not your main holdings
  3. Set your defaults: slippage, priority fee, anti-MEV on, quick buy presets
  4. Link the Telegram bot from inside the terminal so it shares the same wallet
  5. Build a tracker list: start with 10 to 20 wallets from Rank and the smart money lists
  6. Watch for a week before copying anything. Note which wallets are consistent and which had one good day
  7. Start copy trading small, one wallet, conservative caps, your own take profit and stop loss

Who GMGN Is For

Good fit:

  • Traders who follow liquidity across chains rather than sticking to one
  • Anyone whose edge comes from tracking wallets rather than reading charts
  • People who want automation running while they sleep
  • Traders who want web, Telegram and mobile on one wallet

Poor fit:

  • Low-volume traders who will feel the 1% on every round trip
  • Block-one snipers who need absolute fastest execution
  • Complete beginners, the interface will bury you
  • Anyone unwilling to manage hot wallet hygiene

Final Verdict

GMGN is the most complete on-chain trading terminal available, and it has been for a while. The chain coverage is unmatched, the wallet intelligence is genuinely better than anything else in the category, and the automation suite does what it says. When the market rotates to a new chain, GMGN is usually already there.

Strengths ✅

  • Six-plus chains from one wallet and one account
  • Smart money and KOL tracking with real analytics behind it
  • Copy trading that mirrors sells, not just buys
  • AFK automation with snipes, limits and trailing exits
  • Security scan on every token, next to the buy button
  • Web, Telegram, extension and Android all on the same wallet
  • No subscription

Weaknesses ❌

  • 1% is now the expensive end of the market
  • Hot wallet model
  • Heavy phishing target, requires real discipline
  • Dense interface, steep first week
  • Higher default priority fees

Bottom Line

For multi-chain traders: nothing else comes close. This is the tool. For wallet-tracking strategies: the analytics alone justify the fee. For Solana-only scalpers: the fee and the snipe speed will push you to a specialist. For beginners: start somewhere simpler, then come back when you know what you are looking at.

Final rating: 4.3/5

Deductions: -0.4 for the fee no longer being competitive, -0.3 for the learning curve and hot wallet exposure.

GMGN is not the cheapest and it is not the simplest. It is the one that shows you what the money is doing, on whichever chain it is doing it. For most serious on-chain traders that is worth more than 10 basis points.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is GMGN?

GMGN is a multi-chain on-chain trading terminal built around meme tokens. It combines token discovery, smart money wallet tracking, copy trading, automated orders and built-in contract security scans into one interface. It runs as a web terminal, a set of Telegram bots, a Chrome extension and an Android app, all connected to the same trading wallet.

What chains does GMGN support?

GMGN started on Solana and has expanded well beyond it. At the time of writing it covers Solana, BSC, Base, Ethereum, Tron and Monad, with newer chains added as they gain volume. Solana still has the deepest data and the fastest execution, so it remains the main use case for most traders.

How much does GMGN charge?

GMGN charges a flat 1% per trade on both buys and sells, with no subscription or monthly access fee. Signing up through a referral link cuts that to 0.9%. Network costs such as gas, priority fees and tip fees are separate and depend on the chain and how congested it is.

How does GMGN copy trading work?

You find a wallet through the smart money lists, the Rank leaderboards or your own tracker, then attach a copy trade rule to it. GMGN mirrors that wallet's buys and sells using your position sizing rather than theirs, and you set the caps: maximum per token, slippage tolerance, take profit, stop loss and which tokens to skip. You can run several wallets at once and stop any of them instantly.

Is GMGN safe to use?

The platform itself is non-custodial and you can export your private keys per chain. The real risk is not the platform, it is the wallet model and the phishing. GMGN uses a hot wallet so it can sign trades instantly, and fake GMGN domains and fake Telegram bots have drained real users. Only ever reach it through the official gmgn.ai domain, fund a dedicated trading wallet, and keep your long-term holdings somewhere else.

GMGN or Axiom, which one should I use?

Axiom is Solana only and leans on speed and a cleaner interface. GMGN covers six or more chains and gives you far more wallet analytics, tracking and automation. If you trade Solana exclusively and want the tightest execution, Axiom is the faster tool. If you follow liquidity across chains or your edge comes from tracking wallets, GMGN gives you more to work with.

Does GMGN have a mobile app?

Yes, there is a native Android app on Google Play. iOS users get the mobile web terminal instead, which covers most of the same ground. Many traders skip both and use the Telegram bot on mobile, since it shares the same wallet and is the fastest way to fire an order from your phone.
